Darkroom's mobile darkroom used in murder reconstruction filming

Darkroom was called on again to provide darkroom drama for a documentary about a notorious double murder currently in production.

Working from a set of police forensic photographs taken at the time, Phil Grey produced prints to dress a set that was created in a film studio in London’s East End. Transporting one of our Beseler enlargers, an easel, trays and other equipment, he recreated the police darkroom where the original forensic photographs were printed at the time. As with the Rainbow Warrior documentary we worked on the previous month, the prints were exposed at Darkroom HQ and successfully developed on set.

Look out for Phil’s cameo performance coming to a streaming service next year!
